Armstrong Energy today announced that it has made three appointments: James Zahra and Chris Woolhouse as Investment Managers, and Isabelle Milton as an Administrative Assistant.
James bolsters Armstrong’s investment team having moved from Toronto-based Algonquin Power and Utilities Corp where he supported the acquisition and development of a 650 MW pipeline of solar and wind assets. A Canadian Chartered Public Accountant and Certified General Accountant, James is also a level III CFA candidate.
Chris has been a practicing solicitor for 15 years within teams at Clifford Chance, Hogan Lovells, Orrick and Ernst & Young, as well as having been in-house general counsel for a real estate private equity fund. Chris will play a key role in the first quarter of the year supporting the sales process for several fully constructed utility-scale solar projects which Armstrong manages in the UK.
Issie brings experience working in administrative roles within both the public and private sectors. She joins Armstrong Energy having recently graduated from the University of East Anglia with a degree in History of Art.
Andrew Newman, a director of Armstrong Energy said, “As Armstrong’s assets under management continue to grow at a rapid rate, it is important we have the right people in place to maintain that growth while ensuring our existing assets are managed effectively. We are very pleased to have strengthened the team with three high-calibre appointments in James, Chris and Issie.”
