Chris Woolhouse has been practicing as a solicitor for 15 years and joined the Armstrong Energy team in 2015. Since 2011, he has been developing a number of entrepreneurial ventures in the FinTech and community energy sector and undertaking project work for hedge funds and banks focussing on financial regulation. Prior to 2011 Chris was employed as a senior private practice finance lawyer at Berwin Leighton Paisner LLP from 2006 working on securitisation transactions, restructurings and distressed asset deals.
Chris has worked as a finance lawyer in teams at Clifford Chance, Hogan Lovells and Orrick and has built and managed legal teams, including at Ernst & Young’s tied law firm.
He spent around two years in-house as acting general counsel for Patron Capital, a real estate private equity fund.
Chris qualified as a solicitor in 1998, prior to which he had worked in the European Commission’s directorate of Environment and Nuclear Safety as a trainee barrister and stagiere.
Chris holds a law degree from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences and an LL.M in Environmental Law from the University of London.
